Love = Strength Billy Halloween Gathering
If I Can’t Dance, it’s Not my Revolution! ~ Emma Goldman
Oct 29 – Nov 1, 2020
The Love = Strength Billy Halloween Gathering is fast approaching! Please join us in co-creating this gathering, where we will come together in loving community during these challenging times. REGISTER at thebillys.org/register
The Gathering organizes around three broad themes – Opening and Deepening, Resonance and Resiliency, and Celebration and Joy – intended to fortify us during these tumultuous times. Tying this together is a (virtual) Communal Candle, which will burn brightly for the duration of the gathering, representing our aliveness and communal spirit. The gathering also acknowledges Activism through our Get Out the Vote Big Tent, where those who are politically active can continue their work.
Opening and Deepening
The Opening Circlebegins at 7:00pm on Thursday, October 29 with an introduction of the Billy Village, an orientation of the weekend activities, the “lighting” of the Communal Candle, and an interactive ritual to deepen into ourselves and our community.
The deepening continues Dailywith Yoga/Movementin the morning, followed by deep-sharing Heart Circlesand afternoon In-Our-Body Workshopsto help ground us in our body through nurturing self-touch, breath work, and movement.
Resonance and Resiliency
Community building continues with ourWelcome New Billysritual on Friday evening, October 30, followed by the Share Your Altar Ritual. Prior to the gathering, everyone is invited to create an Altar in their home, photograph it, and send it in for the Share Your Altar Ritual on Friday evening. More details to come.

Fabulous entertainment, you’ll laugh, scream, be delighted, be disgusted and you are the creators!
Be C O U C (Costumed Or UnCostumed (Cut Or UnCut)) – you’re all invited to the zoom spotlight!!! Parade your costume – let us guess who and/or what you are, or just be yourself with a funny hat and a desire for the zoom spotlight.
As always, performances by C O U C Billys are the heart of the show and strongly encouraged – sing, read, recite, make us laugh, scare us…
