A Focused BIPOC Experience: Pride & Truth Telling
June 8, 2021 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrate walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.” – Maya Angelou
“Pride & Truth Telling” – You are invited to bring your “Truth.” The invitation is to share in your own special way a story, a poem, a dance or a song. June is Pride Month, it is also a year since the COVID-19 pandemic & the murder of George Floyd. We will be exploring: “Where have you been? Where are you now? Where are you going?” There are so many ways “we” show up. Share the gift of self.
This workshop is designed for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color).
Note: This is a safe space curated for those within the sole experience of the BIPOC umbrella of identity (African, Asian, Black, First Nations, Indigenous, Latinx, Middle Eastern, Pacific Islander…). Thank you to our white allies for reinforcing this space.
Facilitator: John Torres ( email@example.com)
